The purpose of the Priority Schools
collaboration is for the NEREC to provide leadership
support for the REC-member districts categorized as
"in Need of Improvement (SI-I and SI-II). The intent
is to build capacity in each district so that they are
self-sufficient to lead a system approach toward improved
student achievement with the eventual goal of providing
similar training to neighboring districts." The
scope of work includes:
-Orientation to a systems approach improvement
- Leadership training, coaching, and support for the
EPSS process
- Developing systemic organizational structures for
EPSS Plan Implementation
- On-going strategic plan coaching and systems implementation
- Data Assessment
- Other training and coaching, as needed
