Videoconferencing Equipment Installed!

We are happy to announce that the Videoconferencing equipment purchased through the RUS Grant has been or is being installed in most of the districts.

Jemez Valley has two sites, the High School site and the Junior High site.

Santa Rosa has two sites, the High School site and the Junior High site. The High School site should be connected on September 7, 2005. The new Junior High school will not be ready to be cabled for a month or so.

Mora has one site, at Mora High School.

Pecos has one site, located at the Pecos Schools Library.

Wagon Mound has two sites, one in the auditorium, purchased by the RUS grant, and another site in the Board room, purchased previously.

West Las Vegas has two sites, not purchased through the RUS Grant. One is located at Armijo Elementary, and the other is located at the Valley school.

The REC has a site located in room 302A. The REC also has an MCU, which has the capability of connecting all of the sites together.

We will be having our first videoconference Thursday, September 8, at 10:15, when we will be meeting with representatives from each site to discuss the Transition Videoconference trainings that we will be offering during the school year.

Please share the information with your staffs, so that we may begin using the units creatively for the students in our districts.

To use your VC system, contact your Technology Coordinator.

Please call REC #4 if you have questions.
